- Brian Gionta to miss his second consecutive game due to lower body imjury. Speculation is broken foot.

- Controversy in Montreal as it's revealed that Guillaume Latendresse was in his hotel room half hour before game time verses Nashville because he was a healthy scratch, and received a phone call to rush to the arena as Brian Gionta was out with an injury.
Latendresse was simply following team policy of not dressing players in the pre game warm up if they are healthy scratches. A risky move come to think of it as anyone could go down with an injury when they are on the ice including during warm-up.

- In Saturday's 2-0 shutout loss to the Nashville Predators, Carey Price stopped 53 of 55 shots he faced, and set a team record for most saves in one period, stopping 23 of 24 shots he faced in the first period..
