Montreal Canadiens ended their second full week of training camp.

Late Sunday Sept 17 it was announced that Canadiens associate Head coach Kirk Muller signed a two-year extension with the club.

On Monday September 17, TSN690 aired a 37-minute interview Tony Marinaro had with Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin.  For starters, it was revealed that Jonathan Drouin will not play centre (for now) and that Max Domi, acquired in the Alex Galchenyuk trade, will centre his line with Joe Armia on the right side.

The Canadiens played their first pre-season game vs the New Jersey Devils.  Habs won 3-1.  Matching the amount of wins they had in all of pre-season games from last season.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi , 2018 first round pick, 3rd overall picked up his first NHL goal (in a pre-season game).

Melancon, Michael Pezzetta, Adam Plant, Lukas Vejdemo and Antoine Waked.  Laval opens its training camp September 24.

Also returned to their junior clubs were:  Joël Teasdale (Blainville-Boisbriand – QMJHL), defensemen Josh Brook (Moose Jaw – WHL) and Scott Walford (Victoria – WHL).

Saturday Habs faces the Ottawa Senators.  habs roster was pretty much an A class roster with Carey Price starting on goal.  Habs were down 0-2 before they scored three unanswered goals, winning 3-2.  Tomas Tatar and Jesperi Kotkaniemi stood out for the club.

On Sunday Sept 23, Canadiens announced that Oaul Byron was re-signed to a four year extension worth $13.6M.  Byron was very grateful and thanks the organization and the fans,
